Studio360: a testimonial

When Sarah Armstrong of Studio360 reached out to Matt in January of 2021, she made it a point that she wanted this testimonial to be different. She didn’t want just simple talking heads, or a property highlight. She wanted a balanced testimonial where the client experience was allowed to shine, while still highlighting the incredible transformation of their 1978 farmhouse.

Sarah and Matt worked closely together to produce an outstanding video that creatively highlighted the beautiful transformation of the home. Matt used his problem solving skills to find solutions to special requests, highlighted down below.

The Technicals

Cameras: Sony FX6 (A Cam), Sony FX3 (B Cam)

Lenses: Zeiss CP.3 T2.1 (35mm, 50mm, 85mm), Sigma 24mm-70mm F2.8

Drones: DJI Mavic Air 2S

Matt’s role on the project:

Matt filled the role of Producer & Director on this project, with an accompanying crew of 3 members (Cinematographer, Gaffer, & Editor). Matt guided his crew throughout the three phases of production to achieve an outstanding deliverable.

Sarah wanted to incorporate photos of the old house, but she knew that she didn’t want us to simply slap in photos as if it were powerpoint. We needed a creative way to document the old photos of the house, and did so by mounting the printed photos on a block of wood, a placing them in a fashion that draws your eye to intended focal points.

One of the challenges was that Sarah wanted a “WOW” photo at night. On Day 1 of filming, the film crew was not gifted with an eye-catching sunset. Solution: Matt returned on two additional occasions to capture that “WOW” shot. I’d say we nailed it; be even more importantly, Sarah would say we nailed it.

Problem: Showcasing the old house

Problem: Capturing an evening “WOW” photo
